Kein Tracking, keine Werbung

Nutzungsbedingungen

The short version

This app has no user account, no server and no internet connection of its own. Your plants, photos and settings stay on this phone. Nothing is sent anywhere, nothing is analysed, nothing is passed on.

What is stored, and where

Your plants (name, room, watering interval, the days you watered, fertilised and repotted), your journal notes and photos, your achievements and your settings. All of it lives in the app’s private storage area on this device, which other apps cannot read. Android’s automatic cloud backup is switched off for this app, so none of it is copied to your Google account.

Camera and photos

If you take a photo of a plant or for its journal, the app asks the system for camera permission the first time. If you pick a photo from your gallery, Android’s own photo picker is used and the app only ever sees the one picture you chose - it cannot read your photo library. The picture is copied into the app’s own folder and reduced in size. It never leaves your phone. When you delete the plant, its photos are deleted too.

Backup file

In the settings you can save your plants to a file yourself, for example before switching phones. The file contains your plants, journal notes, settings and achievements, but no photos. It is written only where you choose: a folder you pick, or an app you hand it to via the share menu. The app never sends it anywhere on its own. If you pass it to another service (e.g. email or a cloud), that service’s own privacy policy applies. Reading a backup back in replaces the plants on this phone after you confirm it.

Reminders

If you switch on reminders (watering, and with the full version fertilising and repotting), the app asks for permission to show notifications. They are planned entirely on your phone - no push service, no server. A notification only contains the names you gave your plants. You can switch reminders off at any time in the app or in your phone settings.

No tracking, no ads

There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no third-party software development kit that would send data anywhere. No profile about you is created.

The one-time purchase

If you unlock unlimited plants, Google Play handles the purchase, not this app. Google receives the data required for the transaction and processes it under its own privacy policy. This app is only told whether the purchase exists - not who you are, and no payment details.

Ratings and invitations

Now and then the app may show Google Play’s own rating window. Whether and what you rate goes to Google only; this app does not learn it. When you invite a friend, you decide in the system dialog where the message goes. Only then does anything leave the app, and only that message.

Deleting your data

In the app under Settings you will find “Delete all data”. It removes every plant, every photo, your achievements and your settings from this phone. Uninstalling the app removes everything as well. Because nothing was ever sent anywhere, there is nothing left elsewhere for us to delete.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability and objection, and the right to complain to a data protection authority. Since we hold no data about you, there is in practice nothing to disclose or delete on our side. For questions, write to the address above.

What this app is

A watering planner and care guide for houseplants. It runs entirely on your device. There is no account.

Care information is a guide

Watering intervals, light, size and all other care information are general guidelines. What a plant really needs depends on pot, soil, location and season. Check the soil before you water. We cannot guarantee that a plant thrives.

Toxicity

The toxicity information is compiled with care but without guarantee, and it does not replace professional advice. If a child or a pet may have eaten part of a plant, call poison control or a vet immediately - do not rely on this app.

Your data is your responsibility

Because everything stays on your device, there is no backup on our side. If you lose the phone, reset it or uninstall the app, your plants are gone.

The one-time purchase

Up to 3 plants are free. A single payment unlocks unlimited plants for as long as the app is offered. It is NOT a subscription: nothing renews and nothing needs cancelling. The exact price is shown by Google Play before you confirm. The purchase is tied to your Google account and can be restored on a new phone.

Refunds

The contract for the purchase is concluded with Google; refunds and your right of withdrawal therefore follow Google Play’s rules.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise liability is limited to a breach of essential contractual obligations and to the damage typically foreseeable for this kind of contract.

Third-party software

As of 2026-10-25

This app itself is not open source - its source code is not published, and all rights are reserved. It builds on third-party components under the MIT license, which requires passing on the copyright notice. That is what this page does. The sample plant photos are listed under Settings → Image credits.
